If you see someone stealing
foodanything at all from a corp,no you didn’t.
Does your username mean you believe in the rule of OwO?
The only rule that makes sense.
Hm
0x0 could also be allowed.
stealing food is a high risk low reward, you might be lucky to get away with a few snacks in your pocket.
struggling desperate people aim for more expensive items that can be sold. Bluetooth headphones, smartphones…
so if you see someone stealing from a shop, you saw nothing.
chances are the boss is the biggest thief in that shop

True, but the risk of stealing food is often lower than the risk of stealing more expensive items, as more expensive items are often better secured and better covered by surveillance.
Just remember to steal smartly.
Also, there are different levels of punishment if caught
they started filming everyone to try to get them to stop buying so many damn bananas. it didn’t work.
Maybe. Some places like Walmart won’t stop you the first few times regardless of what you take. They have a history of waiting until they can prove it’s a pattern and get you with felony charges
*felony charges, not federal.
It would only become federal charges if you’re doing something that brings it into federal jurisdiction, such as somehow conspiring across state lines to steal from walmart, or stealing from a walmart that’s located in DC or on an indian reservation.
And it’s Target that’s infamous for waiting and watching while they build up enough total thefts on your record to amount to felony theft charges. Though I certainly wouldn’t put it past other stores to do that. They don’t always do that, though, so you can’t count on being safe as long as you keep it under your state’s felony theft limit.
huh. i bet if you plan hard enough around statutes of limitations
Wage theft isn’t real theft. The only real theft is theft of property, and we all know money is made up.
Sometimes I wonder why all the poor and homeless don’t just commit some crimes and get free food and shelter in prison. If the government cannot create livable conditions for people, then force it.
And then I learned there is a literal waiting list to get to prison in many USA states…
free food is easy enough to get. it’s just you have no choice what you’re eating. if you have food allergies like me, that kills you.
IT DEPENDS !!! Rich people steal food on a massive scale, “legally”. Snitch the fuck outta them.
Some countries are producing more food than they would need ; but the food is shipped out to westerners and the locals are starving.
We are not making nearly enough of a racket about that.
Les Miserables is a bit over the top, but if you live in the USA, you live in one of the most incarcerated societies ever. You can absolutely look the other way, but odds are good they get tackled by some jumped up mall cop, get a couple days in jail, lose their job, lose their kids.
The ramifications of stealing a loaf of bread can still be absurd. If you are able, step outside your comfort zone and offer to help.
You act like I want to get involved in someones theft anyway.
dude shut up and shove this ham up your muumuu
If you see an anime girl cart-surfing, no you didn’t. And also please pass whatever you’re smoking.
It is so incredibly rare that I see my favorite sailor in the wild.
“stealing anything”
Regardless of where you are in life I think we can all be better than taking from local businesses. Corpos tho? Fuck em
i hope this is ragebait
I work in a family owned restaurant where the owner fired the head chef for calling me a fag. I was super new and he hired me right outta rehab. There’s a Walmart right across the street too so like come on man. When I was living under a bridge I stole from a non corporate corner store and looking back that was shitty af. Just my 2¢
this “non corporate” store still exploits its workers in the same way walmart does. theres no way to justify that without also justifying the actions of “big corpos” or whatever. we need principles to achieve progress and cant just draw the line somewhere random
She loves stealing from Woolies.
I’ve always found the underlying assumption of this statement a bit weird. Are people regularly intervening on behalf of stores when they see shoplifters? Is that actually a thing you need to tell people not to do?
I am but one person, but I’ve seen it firsthand. At a Walmart, no less.
Clutches pearls.
Capitalism is one hell of a drug.
If you see someone stealing anything at all: Shut the fuck up no you didnt, im having a house party and I am not about to pay for these beers or these snacks or this dip.
Like „desperate“ people stealing energy drinks, protein powder and spirits?
Or stealing meat to sell for drugs?
I love how sincere this is, because it tells you why centrist democrats don’t give a shit about the poor.
