U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told the House Foreign Affairs Committee he hasn’t found a Cuban official who could lead a “transition” to a government pliant to U.S. interests similar to the role played by Delcy Rodríguez in Venezuela.

Rep. María Elvira Salazar asked if the U.S. had found a “Delcy Number Two” for Cuba.

“If you’re asking me, is there a singular individual right now that we would trust and rely on to lead this transition from start to finish? I can’t give you that name right now,” Rubio said.
