Mathematically it’s the exact same situation but flipped.

If you’re a republican, abstaining is voting democrat.
Is this saying something significant or just a tautology?
“totaled” has a technical definition: it’s assessed more expensive to repair than to replace. That will include the cost of all the testing.
I have no idea what this will have damaged. Aircraft can be put back into service after some pretty serious damage, but you make a good point that tests on the structure of an aircraft are done on a new one, so you can’t just do a single test and job done to get the same level of confidence that everything’s ok - if something were weakened, it wouldn’t be clear when it might fail.
That would be a class IV laser and dangerous to eyesight merely from the light scattered off surfaces you point it at. If you point it at a camera and watch what is happening for a while you could get irreversible eye damage.
There is nothing special about cameras that makes them vulnerable - if you shine such a laser at a person, you’ll likely burn them too. If the beam shines or bounces into your eye, you will likely burn your retina before you can even blink.
This is not a meme or a shitpost, it is very dangerous.

Oh, so it’s less about the physics of starting, more that starting is brief so for some engines, you can start moving but at an unsustainable setting?
