I forgot that today was officially the launch of Breeze’s service from Ft. Lauderdale and Raleigh, but early reviews seem to be positive, if only for the price more than anything.
If anyone takes one of the early flights, I’m sure people here would be interested in hearing how it goes, especially if flying to Raleigh. Here’s hoping that this is successful and eventually they expand beyond 3 days a week here.
Just a reminder - Breeze is operating in Tallahassee on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The city is subsidizing some of this by offering about $1.5 million in incentives as part of the $600,000 a year grant program started to entice new airlines, plus lowering the airport fees for Breeze.

I (unknowingly) booked and flew the first flight to Raleigh yesterday.
Modern, clean plane (Airbus?). Smooth process. Was about 95% full.
They charge for carry-on and… like other airlines, charge for seat selection. Flight alone with taxes was $170 round trip.
1 hr 10 min flight.
Extremely happy to have another option to get out of Tallahassee.
