Buckethead - Pike 009 - The March Of The Slunks [Metal Instrumental]

A unique ranged pike. Genre-by-track kind of jobbie. Mostly metal with some experimental as well as some funk on Malberts Strut and a descent mellow track The Robot Who Lost Its Head. Even a little hint of industrial on Thud.

So much good metal scattered throughout this pike, but I’m never a huge fan of the experimental, and this was no exception. It’s inclusion is limited to certain tracks.

Additionally, it features the BEST guitar moment from all of his 800 pikes. The first 26 seconds of Magellan’s Maze are true bliss and something special. Lash-n-thrash so inciteful it invokes a feeling of dire. Like you need to haul off and throttle a baby right now. Not later. Now.
