I skipped my last appointment. Been skipping a lotta stuff. Don’t need all that trouble in my life. Been working towards higher things in reality. I had an experience with the lord recently. That’s what the bishop’s wife called the congregation that spoke to me througg cross-talking and sermon-directed influence. It’s hard to explain what I learned attending a Mormon church. I understand something about my cognition now. Not everyone is talking about me. I just process reality as if everything is about me because my dad made everything about him and I developed the nature of my cognition to appease him, so I developed as a symbiote. I learned from attending that congregation to hear “the lord” that all I thought was real was delusion! The Buddha and the Christ meet eye to eye, finally. It was Mormonism that solved this,and thus they are special in my minds eye now. I see axial shifts in the future. It is inevitable. This will affect everyone. Not just because religion, but the nature of collective culture/individual relations is changing as technology evolves with the culture that is our operating system.

I guarantee, having been a militant atheist myself, everything you believe is true. I believe it too. I believe some stuff CAN contradict what I used to believe, yet still be true. Superpositions. God can microwave a burrito so hot even He cannot eat it; I’ve seen John Cena lose arm wrestling to a little girl. It’s not that physical laws are false, it’s that there are greater laws that encompass them. Y’know, is Donald Trump good or bad? No, he’s a cop. He doesn’t fit into a dualistic system, and nor can any higher truths be understood by human being without first understanding that the Bible IS true AND false, and the same time, and that IS why it is a masterpiece.

Y’all I get we all hate religion here but maybe antagonizing the person posting on c/mental_health in way that makes their relationship to mental health very plainly visible ain’t the best way to engage with folks. Some of us have mental health conditions that allow us to relate to and engage with the world relatively similarly to most folks, but some people’s conditions are, as is clear here, more complicated than that.
Op, if Mormonism is the faith that you find speaks to you please remember that Mormonism the organization has some pretty nasty skeletons in the closet (and also some publicly on display), and has a history of exerting a lot of control over people’s lives and doing a lot of harm, both to those inside and outside of the church. One of my closest friends grew up in the Jehovah’s witnesses, a similar organization, and it fucked her up like you wouldn’t believe.
While practicing your faith, please protect and take care of yourself. And as a queer person, a personal request from me would be that you try to be mindful of whether or not your spirituality is being weaponized to harm vulnerable folks
