Reminder that Charlie Kirk was an extremist, who wanted to “remove” (read: genocide) people he didn’t like.

    I’ll be honest, I don’t like this.

If the tables are turned I wouldn’t like a right wing nut job doing this, I think it’s crass. At best it’s crass.

To be honest, I don’t like Nazis.

I don’t like it when people go to college campuses to tell women that they have no worth. To tell trans people they aren’t real. To tell black people that they have no culture outside of violence. To worship guns in a place where gun violence pervades but has no purpose. Honestly, I don’t like fucking Nazis or the people who support them because they are overflowing with empathy for bad people.

If the tables were turned… Huh, they wouldn’t be. Because most people don’t create entire careers around violent retoric, nor die by the object of their affection while excusing violence.

Truth: If I spent a career fucking around it would also find out.

I agree with everything you said, I just don’t think this or stooping to their level achieves anything.

We shouldn’t be giving these people a platform, we shouldn’t be letting them preach their moronic and false shit.

        I don’t care, I don’t give a fuck about these horrible people.

I’ll never out awful them, and they’ll never grow enough feelings to introspect.

I don’t want them doing this to others, even though I know they would and do.

The golden rule just doesn’t work with fascists. The sooner people learn this, the sooner we’ll be able to kill this ideology of hate.

That kind of is the actual Ubermensch mentality, I guess. I respect that morality but I also know what they’d do to you for the crime of just being a gentle person.

Doing this kind of baseless shit doesn’t bring me joy or anything. I don’t see the point. These people have no sense of decency or irony, and they’ll never see or acknowledge they’re wrong until they face real consequences.

Actual consequences for nazis racists and bigots I’m all in favour of.

The point would probably be everyone’s probably cut out for actually living in a gentle and egalitarian world. We’d just bring our baggage into it and ruin it for everyone else. There probably was a time where I was but I got it beat out of me and now I just find dudes fortnite dancing at the dead Nazi’s wife irreconcilably funny. But it’s more because actual in this current zeitgeist they’re so far beyond the reach of any actual consequences.

I can’t reconcile that situation with my desire to live in a world where we don’t fuck with people. And I don’t really think holding back and showing them kindness prompts the various Kirks of the world to look at anyone differently. It never protected me anyway.

You should give a fuck. He mocks kids who are in demographics where they may kill themselves because of people like him. But he does it on stage. With sponsors.

It’s not a high class endeavor to be sure, but when they go low someone needs to kick them in the teeth.

Then we can go back to the regularly scheduled highbrow programming.

The difference is that they make fun of minorities getting killed. We make fun of fascists getting killed. It is not the same in any way.

I just don’t like stooping to their level. I’d rather actual fucking consequences.

Like if you do this you’re inviting yourself to get punched in the face. And if I was on a jury, someone doing this kinda shit and getting punched would be fine.

      agreed.

it is more ironic with Kirk standing for gun stuff but… yea, its… its quite awful to… do this stuff infront of his widow…

being all binary “haha right bad” can be fun, but we mustnt be that american about it.

The difference is that right wing ideology is hate and violence. So it’s not even close to the same thing.
