    Neat.

    A four-stage cascade has already demonstrated 2 W of cooling power over a 2 Kelvin temperature lift.

    Well, they’ve got a long way to go to manage 20-40° temperature lift needed to replace a cold climate heat pump.

      Even just replacing Peltier coolers would be great. Solid state cooling is so handy we use Peltier coolers a fair amount despite their poor efficiency.
