    yeah, the string attached is that she could’ve decided not to do that. Not that it isn’t good that she did but sheesh the bar is on the floor for things to happen beyond the goodness of any particular individual

    Scott’s $70 million donation is just a drop in the bucket of her $26 billion philanthropic streak since 2020. The early Amazon employee and ex-wife of Jeff Bezos worth $41.1 billion is rewriting the playbook of billionaire philanthropy.

    Credit when credit is due, MacKenzie Scott seems to genuine want to help society.

    However, taxing billionaires would allow us to fix problems instead of relying upon the good will of billionaires.
