    keep going further in …

I mean the movie wasn’t called frontrooms, or most-of-the-way-rooms. Apparently there’s rooms in the back and that’s what the movie Is about.

I have not seen the movie, and have no idea what the whole concept is so none of this means anything to me.

the backrooms was an internet story about accidentally clipping through the world and winding up in an endless series of hallways and offices. Now it’s got a bunch of offshoot stories with monsters and stuff

To be fair, the original post had monsters too, it just didn’t go into any detail about them because the idea was to be a spooky, evocative micro-fiction rather than having L O R E

Yeah, here’s the text of the original post:

If you’re not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you’ll end up in the Backrooms, where it’s nothing but the stink of old, moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in

God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you
