Politicians get paid well to represent the people of their country. It is the highest honor and the biggest responsibility of any job. Abusing that power and responsibility should result in the highest punishment.
A similar fate for Trump and his cronies are the only just outcome. Justice is not always served, but I feel in Trumps case enough people have been treated so badly that it becomes inevitable.
The trouble is, any trial against him would be immediately dismissed on medical grounds. There are plenty of his enablers that are fit to stand trial, though.
