In short:

Swiss voters have voted down a proposed 10 million person cap to the country’s population.

The central European country is currently home to 9.1 million people and is forecast to reach that threshold by 2050.

Voters also had their say on a proposal to abolish elements of Switzerland’s compulsory military or community service for young people.

The Swiss actually have really good public transport, all in all. They also have a lot of conservative shit heads, but you can’t really draw conclusions about transport in a country from one conservative propaganda poster.

I’m aware of that, I just had the impression that the far right party doesn’t make use of their public transport system.

Could well be, but I think they’re mainly just xenophobic, which is more than enough explanation for their support for the failed referendum. I don’t think they used road capacity in any serious ways in their campaign for it.
