the whole deal was that the austin powers main characters were frozen from the 1960s until the late 90s and being fish out of water in the “modern” world? what do you do with that in the late 2020s? theyve spent more time as adults in the present than in the past.
Having him frozen in the 90s but get unfrozen mid Obama 1st term among a load of millenials wouldn’t work at all, but it would at least be funnier than having him in 2026 joining a twitter polycule by accident.

Have them freeze in the 90s and get unfrozen in the 2020s? That sounds awful though, it’d just be a lamer rehash of the first movie.
