“One-Year-Old Boy Killed After Officer Fires at Vehicle in Mississippi,” said the New York Times headline (6/16/26). So, a “one-year-old boy”—what most people would call a baby—was “killed after” a police officer fired at a vehicle, but there’s no verb you could use to connect those two things?

Shooting at a vehicle that’s being driven by a suspected shoplifter makes zero sense. Fuck, this made me so sad and angry.

Exactly this. When I first heard about this that was my whole thought process. Like…I’m sorry what? You SHOT at a car because the driver was SUSPECTED of fucking SHOPLIFTING??? In what fucking insane world does that make sense to do in anyone’s head??

It’s so out there it feels like it’s on purpose. Violence shouldn’t even enter into the picture when it comes to shoplifting. They wanted to wave their gun around and murdered a baby in the process.

I hope they’re haunted by this for the rest of their lives.

Fuck, I need to do something else, my heart will explode.

Look, I’m assuming it’s the kid in the picture, and in addition to being no angel, I think we can agree he looks plenty old to be tried as an adult, thus extrajudicially murdering him is probably fine.

Even without hearing or knowing the race of the individuals, this reeks of pure racism. What’s most bullshit is you just know the cop will, effectively, get a slap on the wrist at most and only because it made the news. More and more I feel the drums of revolution sounding in the deep…better believe I’ll be heading that call.

This kind of story is what radicalised me on privacy matters, too.

Was a man here in Sweden who got assaulted by masked police, in his home at night. Yahoo had given emails to a private company which trawled through the data for possible CSAM. They’d flagged some of the images and videos of the man in question and his boyfriend doing stuff.

Instead of approaching these people, being like “hey we got a report from X place about a thing and we’d like to talk it”, these people immediately go for inflicting physical harm. This is precisely why people say that all cops are bastards.

Naturally the masked cops who assaulted this man never faced any repercussions. The investigation was dropped because they were masked, and thus it’d be “unfair punishment to those who were innocent.” As if assaulting an innocent man isn’t somehow unfair.

Obviously, neither the man, or his boyfriend were white.

There’s a rot in the building blocks of society. When a structure is rotten, you tear it down and build something new.

It’s never been about “protecting the public” unless that public consists of old rich white people and/or land/people owners. Always been a class war. Always will be a class war.

Cops are run away slave patrol 1.0

That is why police forces were formed in the first place. The job hasn’t changed

Could you imagine? Going about your day, out with your baby, running errands, go out and buy some diapers, put them in the trunk… strapped the baby into the car seat and start driving off. The two of you rocking out to Baby Beluga. You pull out of the parking spot and then YOUR KID IS SUDDENLY MURDERED out of nowhere by a crazy man with a gun hiding behind a badge.

Swim so wild 😢 swim so free 😢

I’m pretty sure I’ve said something like this before but…get me the fuck off this timeline. I don’t even want that cop or those cops to face justice in court…that level of bullshit deserves some good ol fashion justice by a mob of local community members.

They are not “out of control.” They are performing the function they were invented to do - repressing the working class to protect liberal elites and their precious private ownership of next-to everything.

US media has been increasingly state controlled since, at a minimum, its inception.

That’s the real reason they want age verification and mass censorship on the internet, BTW. No one in the West would have ever known about Israel’s genocidal campaigns against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, etc, if it weren’t for the open internet.
