I’m too queer to know they actually did this. I thought baps meant ass, as bap is another word for a bread roll/bun, and bun means ass in UK slang.
They hadn’t invented shapely asses in the UK til the NHS started providing them in the 60’s so all their euphemisms for round things are about tits

It can be a snack if it’s referring to a sandwich (a bacon a sausage bap), but I’ve never heard of it being used for a pastry. Maybe you’re thinking of a pasty.
