Not satire btw.

This is someone deliberately saying something racist to make people angry. Thankfully, Lemmy users are smart enough to see it for what it is.

    Right, guys?

Ever see something so appalling and stupid that your immediate reaction is laughter, as a defense mechanism for your sanity? That’s what just happened to me.

It got me too. I don’t know how to react other than to laugh because it’s just that far out there.

I do that. I think that’s a fine immediate reaction.

The problem is when you do it in public and the people think you’re on their side. Then you get looks from the other side as if you’re condoning it. Meanwhile you’re just like, “it’s an internal tick I got! I don’t approve of any of this!”

He didn’t say more often. It’s just the baggy clothes, they have room for more at a time.

it can be difficult in your delivery to clearly delineate that you’re making fun of the racists, racism, and other targets of bigotry. generally if you know the people you’re joking to well, it’s easier to make that delineation.

i met a hipster comedian who loved racist jokes because existentialism and juxtaposition (we took him to the MoMA ONCE because we thought a little culture might help.

        spoiler alert

it didn’t. he liked the existential art and the statues with their boob out.

he did not last long. like, if they don’t have a known You to juxtapose against, all the audience sees is Bigot. So it’s not really existential. or funny. just bigotry.

Black people wear more baggy clothes…? You kinda did the same as the guy in the image, just weirder.

“More baggy” is more likely “baggier”, seeking to highlight the racist assumption that black people where baggier clothes.
