In December 2023, Denmark introduced a law banning "improper treatment" of religious texts. Two people are now to face trial on the Danish island of Bornholm.

Its just a dead object,

True, but that’s not what angers people. It represent/stands for something, and that’s why they get pissed. Not the object itself.
