My my co-worker was just showing me how the base costs our company pays for each of our healthcare insurance plans per year far exceeds the OUT OF POCKET expense of paying for her elderly mom’s cancer treatment in the philippines for a year including a 24h live in nurse.
My employer pays more for me even if I don’t visit the Dr. than an entire year of radiation treatments there.
If I didn’t have health insurance through my employer I probably couldn’t afford it at all. Guess I’ll fly to the Philippines if I get cancer.
My insurance was about 30 a month and then I got a letter stating it would be 500 a month so I cancelled it and now if anything happens I guess I’ll just die.
