even the allegation is a one time bribe to “leaders of the movement” for $50,000 which is basically nothing anyway relative to the aid the US provided to Bautista (millions in weapons, ammo, tanks, planes, bombs, etc).
Did I say the US government gave the exact same amount of money to the rebels as they did the batista government? Did I say it was even a large fraction of the money the rebels had? Or did you somehow interpret my comments to mean the U.S. government completely manufactured the Cuban Revolution for fun? Even if you want to discredit that funding, a public arms embargo against the batista government is still a form of support for the Revolution, again to gain favor.

The wikipedia page on the cuban revolution has an entire section on U.S. involvement. This is common knowledge.

The same was true of Batista’s government in Cuba, but the U.S. still provided funding to the revolution. It’s all realpolitik and shock therapy.

To gain favor with either side, so the U.S. wins no matter who wins. And frankly, the more destruction there is, the more the U.S. can control the country once the conflict ends.

The U.S. government will happily fund both sides of a conflict
