Well his Iran war resulted in more purchases of solar panels globally than anything any other President has ever done.

World News@quokk.au•Zelenskyy gives Belarusian ruler a week to remove Russian drone relays: Otherwise we will do it ourselves
1·21 hours agoIsrael was justified in Attacking Egypt and Jordan (the countries that previously occupied Palestine) because they attacked Israel. Do we continue on until we get back to whichever caveman thtrew a stone at another cavemen?
Or maybe we should accept the more modern sensibilities that all wars are bad, escalating wars is bad, “moral justification” for war is stupid because war is never a moral act.

World News@quokk.au•Zelenskyy gives Belarusian ruler a week to remove Russian drone relays: Otherwise we will do it ourselves
51·2 days agoBy that logic you also can’t pretend Israel had no reason to attack Iran, given that Hamas is Iran’s proxy and Hamas attacked Israel.
Or maybe we shouldn’t go back to pre-WWI logic and think that all conflicts are exactly the same and every conflict is automatically justified by flimsy reasoning. That kind of logic didn’t work out so well in the past, see WWI.

World News@quokk.au•Gordie Howe bridge opening scuttled after Trump officials pushed back
4·8 days agoJust close the Ambassador Bridge until the Gordie Howe Bridge is opened. Moroun can either figure out how to compete with the new bridge or get nothing. Choose between having lower revenue or zero revenue.
More trucks use the Blue Water Bridge than the Ambassador Bridge now anyway.
It’s why we put so much money into space travel. You can do pretty much everything you need to do with robots, but that’s not the point. The point is to get out of bullshit meetings.
“Houston is on comms and wants to discuss the status of the mission”. Fuck it, let’s fly this thing into the nearest black hole.
Nah, the fish crawled out of the ocean just to escape some bullshit meeting with the other fish.

The fact that it’s more difficult to see someone in front of you when your hood is 6 feet up probably has a lot to do with it too. Takes longer to stop a heavier vehicle too.
Commercial driving licenses exist to ensure there’s additional training for people driving a large vehicles. But there’s no additional training needed for driving massive pickup trucks.
I don’t like my chances as a pedestrian getting hit by even a Honda Civic. But I think someone driving a Civic is more likely to see me and stop their car before hitting me than someone driving a lifted F-350.
