  • I think one doing it said, they do it for style, no idea about others, if there are several. But let them be, we are online, and practically have crawled to hide under a rock here - of course you are going to encounter multiple different type of weirdoes. Writing a bit funny is very low on the list of bothersome things, I have seen people do here. If you get annoyed at the thorns, just stop reading and scroll past. In the long run, creating a negative space with mean comments, just makes things worse for everyone.

//Sorry, I meant “you” in general, I was not trying to aim this at you specifically.

  • Perhaps it could have been, your mucuous membranes reacting to the spicyness, rather than having them in your urine itself? Many autoimmune disorders tend to react strongly, to certain eaten things (like spices) - chronic bladder wall inflammation being one of them, for example - so I assume it could be possible, for that sort of reaction, to happen mildly and temporarily, with an excessive exposure like that.

  • Also, perhaps ironically, because Latin is an agglutinative language, the original “cogito, ergo sum” does not have pronouns either. The -o ending in cogit-o, tells it is “I” who thinks, and “sum” tells it is “I” who is (“being” being completely irregular verb). So it is “(I) think, so (I) am”.

  • If I tell someone to move their car because they’re blocking the bike lane, I’m not inviting a debate about whether it’s a good idea to have a rule like that.

To be fair, most people doing stuff like that know very well, why the specific rules exist, but do not care, and are intentionally breaking them. In this example, if you have a driving licence, I image in most places they require you learning the rules of traffic, so they can be assumed to already have the knowledge. If they cared about the actual specifics of the reason, they would have asked, when they had to learn about it: thus them demanding answers for the rule on the fly, should also be assumed to be dishonest.
And also in this example, if you are unable to figure out on your own, why you should not endanger bikers, by putting huge metal obstacles, with suddenly opening doors in front of them, means you should not have a driving licence at all.

They always have some reason, they think is good enough for rule breaking - and might be, like some medical emergency or something, but those times would normally be solved with a polite discussion anyway, after the situation allows it - but usually it is just them being selfish morons.

  • I like that there’s genuine conversations here, much like this one.

I completely agree with this, and especially with comment sections. In reddit, even before the bots took over, every discussion was overrun really quickly, with a huge mass of people. If you failed to take part, in like an hour after posting, it did not matter if you commented, as it was either buried, or nobody else would comment as the post tanked. So it was just pointless to even write comments.

Here, I can still jump into comment sections, and manage to have a conversation, even if the post was made days ago.
