Edit: Thanks to everyone who provided patient and educative responses. I seem to have been uninformed on this front to some extent. I do still believe that Islam is intrinsically homophobic, but of course I understand not all Muslims are such strict adherents, same as Christians run the gamut on this matter. But I assumed Hamas was of the more strict adherents, when I don’t know that for sure.
