This is just a variant of typical white rooms in western prisons. Typical idea is to remove any kind of stimulation. So colours are not present. I am not sure whether western ones have furniture of any type.
Some facilities are sound proof also. Some even go into uniform surface every where, and feed the prisoner a single bland food item for every meal Once a person is isolated in a way like this, without any stimulation from light, sound, touch, and taste, in a few days the person starts to breakdown.
