Glad you’re OK
Over the last two years I fell twice. One was the only time I didn’t wear a helmet, thankfully my head didn’t hit but it could have and my neck muscles saved me (I know because they were sore the next day). The other fall my helmet hit the ground pretty strong but I didn’t have a thing thanks to it.


While I wear a helmet almost every time I bike, I will never push someone to wear one if they’re not convinced. Not cycling is almost always worse than not having a helmet. Cars are more dangerous, so is being sedentary.
The Netherlands, kingdom of cycling has almost no helmet use because the streets are safe and well designed.
By that same metric it would make sense to wear a helmet while walking, in case you slip and fall. Or While driving.
