      if by “british food” and “nordic food” you mean the stuff people ate in the winter because it’s all they had, then yeah sure it’s grim

      but a much more accurate summary of all germanic food is “potatoes, meat, and gravy” which is sufficiently enjoyable that it’s an international staple at IKEA.
