Greta Thunberg is a once in a generation example of courage and dedication. One of the coolest people currently alive and I feel like she’ll be remembered in history in a semi-mythological way like with MLK Jr or Mandela. And by that I mean she’ll be both lauded and distorted equally but that’s just how it goes.

I love Greta and she’ll go in history books but this is too much. There’s many Greta’s out there, the reason why she became famous is because she had a famous mom who knew how to get Greta tons of media attention and connect her with other important people, and provided for Greta while she became a full time activist. Genuinely I can name so many people with her dedication and courage who don’t have the influence and fame Greta has because they struggle to stay afloat while combining work and organizing or activism. People who were activists during high school like Greta.

In Palestine alone there are probably thousands of Greta’s.

i’m so fucking tired of hearing libs hate on trump personally as a way to cast him as a sort of sin eater who personally embodies all the evil that capitalism, imperialism and white supremacy brought into this world, as if the entire 400+ year history of the US and whites in general since colombus isn’t just exactly the same shit trump has been doing but done by demons who cared slightly more about appearing respectable, because it rhetorically serves their support of the status quo

so i came into this post skeptical but fuck she got me with the hague comment lmao i didn’t realize she was such a poster

And yet, they feel this way, and choose to respond by calling Trump increasingly esoteric childish nicknames.

I made a comment yesterday on saying that I found it annoying, but at least they were being creative.

I woke up this morning to my inbox being flooded with libs accusing me of being pro-Trump, and calling me mentally ill.

So if that’s the baseline we’re working with here, Greta is blowing them all out of the water lmao

How is Greta a lib? She regularly criticized the Biden-Harris admin too, and regularly criticizes neoliberalism in general

Thuberg has been arrested and tossed in a Zionist torture camp for attempting to deliver aid to victims of genocide. She’s earned her place as one of the best people to ever live regardless of any of her ideological quirks. She’s an actual embodiment of heroism.

She has genuine fucking conviction and should be lauded until the end of time

        i’m not saying she’s a lib

i’m saying insulting trump personally (as opposed to criticizing his policies, ideology, etc) has become the main way that libs keep telling themselves Everything Is Fine, so much so that any criticism of him personally reads as lib cope to me, at least at first glance

greta has put in the work over the years to not be subjected to this criticism

Yeah I think the good majority of what Greta says relate to policy and ideology, nothing wrong with some personal insults mixed in, but ofc the liberal media will focus on catchy quotes like this over her actual substance. Also it’s not like she called him a foul-mouthed cheeto, she just said made a joke on how he’s a demented war criminal, which we do all the time, and did for Biden as well

You can definitely tell she puts some significant thought into her public statements. I quite enjoy some of her rhetorical constructions.

She’s always been a good poster in addition to a good activist. I remember after trump called her an angry little girl who needs to watch movies with her friends she changed her twitter bio to that
