Someone tell me why this isn’t going to put very real pressure on the Amerikkkans to stop funding Isn’treal. No oil through Hormuz = tanking economies world wide, with increasing pressure on the U.S. to rein in its rabid dog, and/or including defending it… Sooner or later they’re going to realize their “unsinkable aircraft carrier” is mutinying, and its whole existence and support structure is tied to its usefulness in manipulating oil access and stability, which is now moot since they lost that power from their stupid Iran war. Anyone, help?
My only counter is that fascists can always remain illogical even in the face of reality saying that this will lead to the collapse of the US economy and relations with the wider world. Now will the US actually blink in the game of chicken and yank Israels leash before the true shock pangs set in? Honestly that’s unlikely and it’s prolly going to take gas doubling to 8-9 dollars on average in rural America before they ever consider harming their puppet state.

No seriously, everybody who is in power in the western world now is a stupid nepo baby who fully buys into their own propaganda, the only difference is if it’s still neocon end of history propaganda or already fascist death cult propaganda. Not a single person who has a say in US foreign policy is able to comprehend Realpolitik anymore, because speaking out such a thing makes you persona non grata. And everybody who is in power in their client states is too in line to do something unilaterally.
You’ve forgotten that this whole thing is part of gods’ plan. So that can provide strength of will, to pursue illogical plans.
Maybe Israel thinks they can discepline USA more than Iran can. Maybe they will start assassinating politicians, celebrities and other high profile people to assert themselves.

No. I’d thought there were more instances of Israeli tourists intentionally starting wildfires beyond the recent thing of a military aged male burning a roll of toilet paper in Patagonia, but I can’t find more examples. I’d also heard of Israeli investors trying to purchase the burnt land but that seems to be a modern riff off of the Andinia Plan which I learned about when trying to find other examples.
If we destroy the world we still have an edge rebuilding on resources so that is likely an acceptable win condition to some bourgeois factions
As my friend puts it. Fascist ideology is inherently a loser mindset. To be strategic you have to admit flaws and when you need to change strats. But fascist can’t do any of that. It would mean showing in their minds, weakness and fallibility. So they just double down.
Give it time. It will put pressure on the Americans. Fascists only posture as having an unshakeable commitment. Look at how quickly trump flip flops.
The only problem for the Americans is that the Israel lobby is just so deeply entrenched in America that reverting course becomes institutionally impractical.
It’s really the story of liberal democracy. Let institutions be captured by special interest lobbies. Let them dictate the course of policy to the detriment of not just the proletariat, but even the liberal system’s own stability and hegemony. By then, even if you can see the writing on the wall, tf are you gonna do about it?
