Between cognitive behavioral therapy and meds, I can work 25 hours a week and still generally keep-up my apartment as long as I’m not in a funk.
I still be eating wwwaaaayyyyy too much fast food though. Don’t even want fast food. At a point it’s kinda mentally gross even if physically very satisfying. Just don’t wanna cook. You’re telling me I gotta cook and then EAT TOO? I have ibs so 90% of frozen and fast-prep options are out. :(
When I don’t want to cook I grab a rotisserie chicken from my local kroger and a couple of their sides. Cheaper and healthier. Cooking at home, especially from scratch, will always be the best way to go but it sure is time consuming when you’re trying to keep up with capitalism.
I get this with fast food and healthy food, to the point it’s mentally gross. I then eat far too little. Ibs and ADHD, always with the conflicts, can’t my body just agree on something
I really should get over myself and start doing this. I do on occasion when I’m really struggling. But for whatever reason, maybe just mental obstinance, my brain really wants like a main and two sides on a plate with a nice drink. Otherwise it feels like it’s not gonna check the “eaten a meal” box considering I eat mostly out of habit and less from ever actually getting a signal I am hungry.
Yeah it’s easy to do it non-committaly. Like just have some frozen spinach or broccoli in the freezer. Microwave for 4 minutes in a bowl and add some feta cheese and put it on toast if you’re feeling energetic. Easy deconstructed spanakopita

I fixed this by just eating straight ingredients and stocking moderately healthy stuff
No cook, only eat

It can get expensive but it does the job
Expensive how? If anything I’ve found it cheaper to do that. Especially since most ingredients freeze well so I don’t have to shop as often
